Local orders from South Africa are dispatched with The Courier Guy.We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 BUSINESS DAY of being placed. During busy operational times, it may extend to 2 BUSINESS DAYS. 

Any orders placed on a weekend will only ship out the next business day as couriers do not operate on weekends or public holidays. 

Delivery times will depend on the option you select at checkout.

We offer standard Economy with tracking that takes 3 to 4 business days for R89 and Expedited for R150, which takes 1 to 2 business days.

Please note that your countries TAX and DUTY laws apply and you may have to pay your local customs fees once your package arrives. All international clients are responsible for these fees.

Locally WatchBoyz ships with our trusted partner, The Courier Guy. We offer 24 to 72 hour EXPRESS SHIPPING delivery for R89 and OVERNIGHT for R150.

Internationally we rely on DHL Express.

Insurance is only applicaple on local order in South Africa.

We recommend all orders to the value of R2000 and more be insured. South Africa deals with many Cash in Transit and Goods In Transit hijackings. While we, personally, very seldom experience such hijackings, we have had them in the past. Often the courier companies allows claims from businesses when this happens with uninsured goods, but it's for small amounts to the maximum of R1000.

WatchBoyz can not enforce ensurance in our pricing, therefor we leave it to our customers to decide. Please be aware that should a parcel of high value experience a highjacking instance and it is NOT INSURED, the couriers might not make good on your full purchase amount and we therefor recommend that you select INSURED EXPRESS SHIPPING for any goods over the value of R2000. WatchBoyz will not be held liable for hijacked shipments if the courier company does not assist in the claim and no insurance on the order was taken.

Should you have insurance,we will immediately issue out a new product to replace the stolen one and deal with the claim ourselves, so that our customers do not have to wait for the claim to resolve and get their goods immediately.

First, let’s expel a myth!

There is no such thing as a WATERPROOF watch. Watches are only water resistant and the METER rating on a watch technically means nothing and they are convoluted.

IF YOUR WATCH HAS A SCREW DOWN CROWN, MAKE SURE IT’S ALWAYS TIGHTLY SEALED

Various watches contain BAR/Depth ratings.

It is best practise to NEVER TAKE ANY WATCH INTO HOT WATER.
The sudden change in temperature and pressure will cause seals and parts to expand/contract and lubricants to run and dial glues to melt. Consider the following international standards:

3BAR / 3ATM / 30M / 100FT - We recommend that a 3BAR rating is not exposed to water at all.

5BAR / 5ATM / 50M / 165FT - The watch can withstand light splashes when washing hands, rain drizzle etc. This watch is still not recommended for swimming and water exposure should still be avoided.

10BAR / 10ATM / 100M / 330FT - The watch is suitable for leisure swimming. No water sports or poolside diving/sea diving. Even diving into a pool or surfing a wave can penetrate a 10BAR rating with enough force.

20BAR / 20ATM / 200M / 660FT - The watch is suitable for
swimming, high impact water sports and scuba diving.

More than 30BAR / 30ATM / 300M / 990FT - Suitable for high impact water sports, scuba diving and saturation diving.
